Walk through our doors and you will find students engaged in the following programs and activities:

 

Power Hour

A comprehensive, incentive based homework help and tutoring program

 

Passport to Manhood

Funded by the Department of Social Services, this program teaches at-risk boys how to become productive men.  It is facilitated exclusively by male community leaders and targets boys who lack male role models.

 

SmartGirls

This program helps young women and girls navigate the challenges of adolescence.  SmartGirls is provided in partnership with the Central Missouri Women's Connection (CMWC, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and is funded by Unilever.

 

SmartMoves & MethSmart

These two powerful program educate our young men and women on the dangers of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Additionally, these programs offer healthy alternatives that support postive lifestyles. These prevention programs are funded by the Department of Mental Health.

 

Garden 'N Grow

Our Gardening Program is provided in partnership with Master Gardeners and Hy-Vee.

 

Boy Scouts

We host Cub Scout Pack 72

 

Gang Prevention

Through targeted outreach we work to identify teenage members who are currently in or are susceptible to gang activities.  This program is provided in partnership with the Public Schools, Police Department, and is funded by United Way.
